Effective January 25, 2026. This page explains how MyLane collects, uses, and protects your information across our web app and Chrome extension, and the terms that govern your use of our services.

Privacy Policy

MyLane is built to simplify your job search, not to track your life. We only collect the data strictly necessary to save, sync, and improve your job search workspace — whether you use the web app or the browser extension.

1.Information We Collect

  • Account information — your email address and profile details when you sign in with Google.
  • Career & resume data — the experience, skills, education, and job information you add to build resumes, cover letters, and career insights.
  • Job content you save — company, role, and description details you clip from job boards via the extension or add directly in the web app.

2.How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, sync, and personalize your job search workspace.
  • Generate AI-powered suggestions such as resumes, cover letters, and career optimization.
  • Improve the product, fix issues, and keep your account secure.

3.Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. We share information only with trusted service providers strictly to operate the service — such as hosting your data, processing AI requests, and delivering email — and never for their own use.

4.Data Retention & Security

Your data is stored securely and retained while your account is active. We do not automatically delete your data, and you can remove the information you have entered at any time.

5.Extension Permissions

In compliance with Chrome Web Store policies, here is why the MyLane extension requests specific access:

  • tabs & activeTab — identify the job posting URL and page title so we can clip job details into your dashboard.
  • sidePanel — open MyLane as a persistent companion while you browse job boards.
  • scripting & host permissions — inject our enricher tools on LinkedIn and MyLane.ai to parse job descriptions and surface application status.

The extension only accesses the job boards and services you explicitly use it with.

6.Your Rights

You can access and correct the personal information you have provided at any time. For any questions about your data, contact us at info@mylane.ai.

Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the MyLane web app and Chrome extension.

1.Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using MyLane's web app or extension, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

2.Use of Service

MyLane grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the service for your own job search. You agree not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or resell the service.

3.Accounts & Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4.User Content & License

You retain ownership of the content you provide. By submitting content, you grant MyLane a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to provide and improve the service.

5.Intellectual Property

The MyLane name, branding, and software are owned by MyLane and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.

6.Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyLane is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

7.Termination & Changes

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we may update these terms — we will post any changes here with a revised effective date.
